Hamdi Abdullah is an illustrator from Indonesia.
Influenced by his family and in particular by his uncle, Hamdi has been passionate about drawing since childhood. Today, his passion for climbing is the focus of his work. He takes an artistic view of climbing and wants to show the beauty of this sport in all its forms.
The majority of his work is in the visual arts, where one can simply enjoy the beauty of his work but with a message that he believes is often only understood by the climbing community.
He is inspired by the remarkable and unusual movements of climbers but also by the shapes of rocks and mountains. Through his art, Hamdi wants to make the sport of climbing more accessible and attractive.
"I hope that with the drawing, people will be able to appreciate climbing and that they will at best try out this sport and discover the beauty of rock climbing for themselves."
